Virtual Lofi Study Session — December 3, 2025
We hope everyone is enjoying the tail end of their semester. As we look ahead to finals week and wind down, LISSA is hosting a virtual Lofi Study Session via Zoom on December 3rd, 2025 from approximately 6:30 PM–7:30 PM EDT. Join us for an evening of slow jams, moral support, homework help, and a place where everyone can enjoy themselves and study however they see fit. Academic Libraries Discussion (SCARLA) — November 10, 2025
Join SCARLA (LISSA’s sister organization), next Monday, November 10th, from 6:00–7:00 PM on Zoom, as they welcome Chelsea Rizzolo, Lisa Thornton and Taylor Baugher, all alumni of the Rutgers MI program who now work in academic libraries! This event will be an opportunity for current MI students to hear from our panelists about their career experiences and to gain insights into academic librarianship as a career. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions of the panelists and connect with alumni and other MI students.

With spring registration opening up on November 10th, 2025, LISSA will host an open discussion about spring classes on November 5th, 2025 at 6:30pm EST. If you have questions, comments, concerns, or are just curious about the schedule, then come on out and meet us on Zoom. What is the role of the library (school and public) in the realm of social justice? Join Scott Bonner – Library Director for Ferguson, Missouri; Dr. Carla Hayden, CEO of the Enoch Pratt Free Library, in Baltimore, Maryland and Nancy Kranich, Special Projects Librarian for RU Libraries and past president of the American Library Association for this important discussion.
