Position Descriptions:

President
Organizes speakers, events, and trips
Runs Planning meetings and General meetings (virtually or in-person)
Solicits ideas from MI students and faculty
Accepts and considers suggestions on how LISSA can better perform its mission
Vice President
Assists the President in a variety of ways
Assists with the organization of LISSA sponsored events
Attends and participates in Planning meetings and General meetings (virtually or in-person)
Treasurer
Works with President and Vice President to create an annual budget to submit to GSA and/or SC&I’s Student Services Office
Submits reimbursement requests to GSA/Student Services Office for LISSA throughout the semester
Attends and participates in Planning meetings and General meetings (virtually or in-person)
Orders food for on-campus events
*The Treasurer should be able to come to campus for the occasional filing of paperwork.
Secretary
Attends and participates in Planning meetings and General meetings (virtually or in-person)
Keeps minutes of all Planning meetings and General meetings
Emails monthly meeting minutes to Webmaster so they can be posted on LISSA’s website
Webmaster and Social Media Specialist
Maintains and updates the LISSA online presence regularly throughout the semester
Webcasts General meetings for online students
Attends and participates in Planning meetings and General meetings (virtually or in-person)
